The CAPA analysis is interesting but doesn't really offer anything new. However, it's nice to see everythign written down.

CAPA lists North American carriers flying to CPH, ARN, OSL. The one thing they don't mention is the fact that *A carriers can fly there because they can rely on SK for connections. DL and CPH is a mystery to me, but perhaps there's enough O/D for them to survive. However, these carries cannot fly to HEL because there are no or very few connections and not enoigh O/D, so if HEL will see a North American carrier, it will be AA (who just dropped out). And AA will not fly HEL from the West Coast. I think LAX-LHR is their only European route from the West Coast?

For TMP, I agree it would probably make more sense for BA than AY. AY has their strategy and certainly TMP doesn't fit in there. But for BA, an overnight flight might work quite well. I wonder if anyone at BA has ever noticed that such a city exists and that Ryanair has stopped serving it.
