I was a little taken aback in July when arriving at T7 at JFK after a BA flight to find there were no pay-phones at all in the domestic arrivals area (I had arrived on the BA1 which pre clears at SNN so is a domestic arrival) and signs saying the services had been withdrawn.

I only needed to phone the car service I was using but luckily I found a freephone I could use (linked to some hotels and other car companies)

My other alternative would have been to throw myself on the mercy of the information desk in asking to use their phone as the number I had was a free call anyway.
