My apologies for the confusion. Breakfast was included in my rate and, as such, according to the front desk, room service for breakfast only was complimentary sans a service charge. Anything not on the menu you hang on the door, I was still charged (trust me, I wanted that Irish Coffee for free!).

I was also staying at the hotel when it was completely booked and often I received a note under my door encouraging me to order room service for breakfast instead of dining in the Saddle Room. This may have had something to do with it also.
