The least they can do is to have a separate shuttle for First/Business Class and Elite passengers, as their China partner airlines do at bus gates.
Obviously none of these issues will be resolved by tomorrow so I will send a note once I can Wifi during the flight from PVG to DTW.
My domestic flights in China have used Terminal 2 and one distraction was that the VIP line was not open until I had waited in line almost an hour for the security check. I remember walking by the ST lounge in Terminal 2 and not seeing much of anything worthwhile at least from the door (e.g. flight departure was imminent so no lounge time).
BTW, my SEA-PVG flight last week used a bus at PVG even though there were several gates available on our arrival.
I just want to get to the 744 UD and go home. I made this trip just two weeks out of the hospital (that included ICU) and although medically cleared to fly the trip has had medical complications (like oxygen at Xining) so for once I am anxious to get home. At least I have 4 days before a domestic trip and 5 weeks before another international trip.
