I agree with your theory, but IMO for those of us who are now completely out of eUps, there's still no point to domestic Flex. I just booked a YVR-YYZ roundtrip in Tango last week for $565. At the time lowest Flex would have been $990. Now it'd be $820. Still a substantial discount, sure, but unless you have lots of eUps sitting around, what am I getting for that $255? I'd have to change my flight, what, 10 times to get any value out of it?
If you're not an Altitude member, which is 98% of AC's customers, the value still isn't there.
