I believe that theft protection is included in LDW (Loss Damage Waiver) coverage, but I have to read the fine print of the coverage offered by my cards. I don't have the time right now, but will try to get to doing it later today.
Just checked my Citi Benefits:
The reasonable cost of repair or the cash value of the car, whichever is less, up to $100,000 if your rental car is damaged or stolen. This includes:

  • Rentals shorter than 31 consecutive days
  • Rental company charges for loss of use while car is being repaired
  • Cost of towing your rental car (if necessary)
  • Any deductibles that may need to be paid if you have another policy that will provide coverage first
And Chase:
Auto Rental Collision Damage Waiver
Decline the rental company's collision insurance and charge the entire rental cost to your MileagePlus Explorer Card. Coverage is primary and is provided for theft and collision damage for most cars in the U.S. and abroad.
