In Flight Audio Calls via Wifi on AA International - Why Not Allowed?

the use of inflight airline phones was just fine at $8/minute. so ready airlines couldn't care about the noise. the phone companies don't want using the cellular signals since they tie up too many towers. FAA and FCC want to preserve status quo for as long as possible. FA are just stuck in the middle enforcing a silly rule that is not justified for any technical reason.
