The only other Marriott property I recommend downtown is the Speinghill of Auroria. Beats the Marriott and CY hands down, costs a little less than Renaissance normally, and great location to get to bars.
That's a nice one, especially if one wants to drink in LoDo / Larimer Square.
I live across from the RI (Zuni st) in LoHi. I've had family stay there and found it quite pleasant, although the second level places are better if you're sensitive to footstep noise. This is, IMHO, the best place to stay if you're flying in for a Bronco's game and plan to tailgate.
