For someone with Carly Fiorina's net worth and hence presumed value of her time, though, flying privately is virtually a no-brainer for optimizing time-vs.-money value. The fact that she flies commercially shows there's another factor in her decision. I'd say it's free publicity. Everytime she flies commercially it's a potential photo-op that could generate free local media coverage.
