I was able to get a points reservation (50K per night) at the Hilton Tokyo Odaiba during this time a couple weeks ago. Now, there is nothing available (points or paid for standard rooms) at any Tokyo Hilton's. The 2016 Grand Sumo Tournament at Kokugikan is running from 5/8 - 5/22 (http://www.sumo.or.jp/en/ticket/year_schedule) ......maybe this is why it is happening? I have been wondering the same thing.
