Last Friday, I was able to get drink/snack and the FA also gave my wife a snack, though she did suggest I needed to pay for hers at first.

I don't really use the benefit often unless on an all Y flight but I thought AAirpass allows for drink/snack for my companion if in Y. (Not sure if I need to be flying on AAirpass for that to apply - they print aairpass on bp when not in F whether I am using it or not).
