United (and formerly Continental) had a fleet of 757's on those transatlantic routes. They were equipped with lie-flat seats up front, full AVOD and power throughout and were generally a decent ride. At least as nice a ride as you'll get in a narrow body.
pmUA didn't run 757s TATL, at least not that I recall from 2001-2011.
One big advantage to the sUA 763s is that they have very comfortable Y seats, not the rock hard sCO seats found on the 757s.
