Sorry about the confusion re:757 weigh-class. For safety, the FAA wanted to reclassify it from large to heavy in the late 1980's. Boeing fought it because such a designator could dramatically curtail their 757 sales. The compromise was to single out leading 757s as a wake-turbulence generators.
