The problem is that I think I'll never be able to use the miles. I live in Europe and I have enough miles from a one way economy ticket to south east Asia (cannot go anywhere else long haul with Singapore Airline from here). Anyway they charge for fuel/airport fees around 380 USD$, which is basically the cost of the flight :\
You are not restricted to SQ and/or SE Asia. You can redeem on any *A carrier for any flight you like (i.e. within Europe).
