BASICS
Hellinikon is located six miles (10 km) south of the center of Athens. A tourist information desk is located in the East Terminal (International Terminal) and is open Monday through Saturday from early morning to late evening. The West Terminal serves Olympic Airways exclusively.

TAXI
Taxis are available at a stand outside the arrivals hall. Travel time to the center of Athens is about 20 to 30 minutes, but much longer during the rush hour. Agree on the fare before departing, or make sure the meter is working. Fare should be about 2000-2200 drachma ($9-$10). Note: The fare will be about twice this rate from midnight to 6 A.M.

BUS
The bus to Athens, "Service 91," takes about 45 minutes. The fare is about 250 drachma ($1) and the buses stop near Syntagma Square. Between midnight and 5 A.M. the fare is about 500 drachma ($1.50).

BUS SHUTTLE BETWEEN TERMINALS
Express buses run between the East and West terminals every 20-30 minutes from 6 A.M. to midnight, and hourly from midnight to 6 A.M. Travel time is 10 minutes. The fare is about 250 drachma ($1). Between midnight and 5 A.M. The fare is about 500 drachma ($1.50).

RENTAL CAR
Avis, Budget, Eurocar, Hellas, Hertz, Interrent and other agencies offer their services in both East and West terminals.
