It is great that some passengers recognise the waste in these amenity kits and they hold on to them until they can be donated to charity.
What is disappointing are all of the kits that are left on the aircraft at the end of the flight. Those likely go in waste stream. If something can be done about that as a society we would all be better off.
What makes you think they end up in the waste stream? One thing I've learned from FT is that there sure is lot going on behind the scenes we do not know about.
