An Alfa 156 is certainly big enough to comfortably transport four adults, but luggage capacity in the rear is going to be tight. You'll fit four soft bags in the back, but it's unlikely that you'd get four hard-sided or rectangular bags in.

The Alfa 156 is about the size of a VW Passat/Honda Accord, if that's any help.
