An Alitalia Light tickets earns miles and counts for status flight on Flyingblue.
If you have booked an "O" tariff you will get the "status flight" and 50% of the miles flown (+ status bonus).
This is a big oddity considering that flight between Paris and Miland/Rome are full code share and quite often the prices are exactly the same if bought on Alitalia or Airfrance stock. The big difference is that the Alitalia light fare earns miles and the Airfrance Mini does not.
This is another stupid and inconsistent strategy of Airfrance ... even KLM gives you miles and status flight if you buy a KLM flight lightfare.
Thank you for confirming. I suspected so, as I checked ITA before booking the ticket and also checked Flying Blue's table.
Is Alitalia Light recently introduced? I flew Alitalia back in June and did not see that option...
