The lines and delays associated with holiday flying in the past could turn out to be relatively fond memories for airline passengers compared to this Thanksgiving week, the heaviest travel period of the year.

All the biggest U.S. airlines are in the midst of contract problems with at least one group of employees and that, combined with an expected record number of passengers and more planes crowding already busy airports, means increased potential for flight disruptions between now and the end of the holiday crunch on Nov. 28.

AND: The PA of NY/NJ has now also asked that pax allow another 30 mins minimum time in ADDITION to the carriers recommended holiday suggestions - particularly if you're parking and particularly if at EWR!

Happy Holiday!

AND: As the busy holiday travel season neared, two major US airlines were attempting to head off flight delays they blamed on disgruntled mechanics. Four days after a federal judge barred UA mechanics from disrupting flight schedules, the Chicago-based airline said it was still plagued by delays. NWA was waiting to see whether a temporary restraining order issued Monday night would prevent flight delays it says have been caused by intentional work slowdowns by its mechanics.
