I flew on Sabena to CKY in January 1999. They were using A330's then. The nice part was they were non-stop both ways. The AF flights stop in Mali or Mauritania which adds to the travel time and possibilities of delays.

Sabena has severe financial problems these days and there are some clouds over its future, but they have the better reputation of the two airlines for service to West Africa.

You probably already have planned for this, but make sure your yellow fever inoculations are up to date--they were checking in 1999. Allow plenty of time to get your visa or use a service to get it for you. Beware of luggage thieves in the baggage claim area--it is best to be met by someone outside the arrivals area.

Hope this helps, enjoy your trip. If you want more info, feel free to post.
