An update from the lounge - this culinary gem was on display in the Schengen lounge annex in the afternoon/early evening earlier this week. My visit was enhanced by the gentleman who decided to sit in front of me despite the annex had most four-seat units completely free. His relentless exploration of his nasal cavity seemed like a natural extension of the food on offer which he enjoyed a lot.
Oh I really hate that. There's really a lot of gross people on the move these days. As for the open food in that pigsty, I just won't touch it. After being ill twice after visits to the Kantine of the particular opera house I was working at, I learned that what comes out of a packet or a bottle is probably safe. Depends on the place, obviously, but the Crown Lounge is as bad as or worse than a Holiday Inn Express breakfast counter in my opinion. Not to mention all the people milling about.
