I traveled-4-free on a 45K reduced AA coach award on them between YVR and HKG on the 747-400. Without even my asking, a gate agent blocked out a center section row for me - so I stretched out and got in a good 8 hours shut eye. I liked that!

Two full meals were served , plus a mid-flight snack of sandwiches (cucumber veggie or noodle cup-a-soup (it was instant, yuch! ).

F/A's were very efficient, and polite, but not very friendly. (And by that, I mean that they were not the 'Chatty Cathy' type with customers in the galley). They seemed to be quite good at keeping everybody well hydrated during the trip. I liked the menu -with the Chinese script - and the flair that CX seems to be able to add to it. An amenity kit is always appreciated, even if the contents are meager!

I found seating on the Airbus beyond HKG quite tight in coach.

I recommend them. But, coach IS coach!
