After reading all posted articles about lost items on Delta flights, I don't feel that bad about my missing Samsung series 9 laptop. Not everyone can get onto a Delta aircraft after all passengers got off the plane. So an item left at the seat should not be AUTOMATICALLY disappeared. I am not saying that it's 100% Delta's fault. Everyone should hold on to their belongings and there is risk that whoever find your lost item might not want to return it to you. But I think this should be part of Delta's corporate culture to ensure that none of the employee will try to keep customer's personal property. When I called Delta, I do not feel like they even try to locate the item I left on the aircraft. They don't even want to ask the cleaning crew. I know which airline I will never fly forever.
And other airlines would be different because???
