You may not have done 'something wrong'. The TP calculator was not updated on ba.com until some time after the changes were made to the scheme on 28 April 2015. For a lot of partner airlines, for economy there were only the "fully flexible" and "discounted economy" categories in the dropdown list, which would give 70 and 35 TPs each way respectively. IME, it is only recently that the calculator now also gives a "lowest economy" category for partner airlines, which earns a rounded-up 25% of the fully flexible economy ticket, i.e. 20 TPs.
In all likelihood, QR will credit the flights to BA and you will receive 20 TPs based on current earning, if your ticket is in the lowest economy booking class. If you are certain that both the TP calculator and the wording in the Avios earning part of the website didn't mention this new 'lowest economy' booking class category you could try your luck in complaining - make sure you keep your boarding passes to send copies in. But I wouldn't get your hopes up.
You could try that ..... however just to add a data point, all QR economy flights that I reviewed on the BA calculator in both May and June returned 20 TP ....
