Follow Sheryl's advice. I regurarly use Priceline to book hotels in Chicago and always get **** hotels like the Palmer House Hilton and the Doubletree downtown for less than half of the price you would pay for the Congress Plaza ($35 - $45).

I stayed at the Congress Plaza back in September. I think it was acceptable, but now that I found Sheryl's forum I'd never stay there again.
