Stay away, danger Will Robinson!!! I stayed there once in 1993 and it was the worst, absolute worst hotel stay that I have ever had. The pits. Rooms were falling apart, lobby is scarry, and the service horrible. It sure could be better now but I stopped in to check out the lobby last summer just for kicks and it looked in the same shape. Although September is high season for Chicago hotels something better would be my recommendation. Do you have any points you could use? Where is you trade show at? I did a quick check at Quikbook and found the Westin Michigan Ave for $189 from Sept 10-13. Not the greatest hotel but a palace compared to the Congress. Plus Quikbook stays should count for Starwood points. Hope this helps.
