DL16/17 has been used for three different routes over the last dozen or so years:

JFK-CDG (when there were 2x daily JFK-CDG flights, around early 2000s-2005), then
JFK-BOM (the nonstop flight 2006 - 2008)
then
LAX-SYD (2009 - 2015?)
