FCT staff of course know the rule is not enforced. You were lucky to get call centre staff who knew how the rule worked in reality.
Is it not an "official" rule (whether enforced or not) that FCT/FCL for HON guests must be same flight but LX F lounge is guests on any LX/LH/OS flight?
