I had to rush to gate 55 at Gatwick on Monday (Easyjet flight) because it stated on the departure boards in red "Gate closes at 1811" - departure was 1835. It was 1800 and I was in the main departure lounge so hoofed it briskly to gate 55. Boarding finally STARTED at 1850. I was muttering under my breath about "it's not like this on BA" etc.
