You'll just need to book by phone with AA and give them the BA ticket ref (book that first but call within the 24 hour cooling off period) so they can waive the unaccompanied minor fee (though perhaps not the phone booking fee). Assuming you have preselected the seats on your BA ticket (doable anyway on the AA legs even without status) then AA should also be able to assign you seats for the kids next to them.
