Thanks, UAL Traveler. I was beginning to worry about this one, but your reply has eased my mind. After having traveled all over Europe, I've decided to take my first journey to Asia. I'm both excited and nervous about it because I don't know what to expect.

I'm booked for coach on my American flights from San Antonio to LAX. When I inquired about Deluxe Economy on EVA, the AA booking agent had no knowledge of it or information about it. It sounds great, but I have no idea how to make such an upgrade at this point. Although AA has ticketed the flight, I wonder if EVA could help me if I were to contact them directly. I've been assigned seats only for my domestic flights. My EVA segments include the code-share flights between LAX and Taipei and Taipei and LAX. My return flight from BKK to TPE is an EVA flight, but it's not a code-share.
