With the noted great fares out from Brazil, it would not hurt to secure a 10 year visa for USD$160. It is not one time use, so the cost of the visa would be insignificant when it is spread over a 10 year period. Besides, Brazil is a great place to visit and spend time even on a short weekend trip.
