Welcome to the Singapore approach to consumer rights - i.e. there are none. Screw 'em and take their money. As a consumer you have NO rights.

(sorry about the cynicism, when you purchase a product or service, there is very little in the way of consumer protection, that those in places like Europe, Australia, US generally have, other than that offered contractually or as part of a brand promise, for companies like Scoot that means very little protection, and you would only be offered a refund if the ticket was purchased (ie originated) in a jurisdiction that requires them to refund by law.)
