I must admit that I once boarded an Islay-Glasgow flight dressed in full black-tie regalia. This was due to a delayed departure and uncertainty over the time required to get from hotel and venue (I was making a speech) which led me to change in the airport toilet.

I didn't feel stylish - on the contrary, I looked and felt like a bit of a tit!
