If you are using MCs at Walmart Money Center, I have found you need to tell the cashier to NOT put in the $500 amount until AFTER you change payment and put in the pin number. When I do that, it works fine. I have actually found it easier to just hold those cards for Kroger.... and use only Visas at Walmart.
