I then called Ambassador Services and played dumb, pretending to be upset (in a very mild, respectable, and professional way). The agent actually had no idea what I was talking about. Believe it or not, she put me on hold and called the number herself. I could see her blushing through the phone. She was completely embarrassed and apologetic. She had me send her pictures of the card so that they can "investigate" the issue, and then issued me 10,000 points for the inconvenience (without any prompting on my behalf).
But in the end I'm the biggest fool in this whole thing. Without even thinking, I dialed the number using my company issued cell phone. Looks like I'll have some explaining to do.
