I asked PC last week what happens if you are already platinum and complete all four badges. They said your platinum status would be renewed at the end of the promotion for 12 months until 31 Dec 2016. So that may be a change to your regular renewal date, which may or may not be good/bad for counting qpoints towards the following year.
