I second the recommendation to buy with a brand dealer instead of an independent one. Almost all brands have OEM certified used car programs that make sure that the car is in decent shape, workshops and dealers are trained for used cars and the OEM usually gives some kind of warranty that exceeds the EU or German legal requirements (which you somehow should be able to claim at a used car certified dealer in Sweden, too). A test drive should not be a problem there.
