BA will check through on connections less than 24 hours. AA will only check through on connections less than 12 hours. Overnight has nothing to do with it.

If you are checking in with BA, then BA's rules will be followed. If with AA then AA.

No matter what I wouldn't check through overnight through MIA for fear of never seeing the bag or its contents again,
