CX617 is delayed almost 3 hours which will give me a missconnect to DFW.

Cathay put me on TG600, an a380 in J that gets in at 11:45. They said they couldn't check me in because I'm now on a Thai flight to HKG. I have to check in in HKG. So if anyone has an answer in the next 45 minutes or so if CX airside in HKG can check me in or do I have to sprint through customs and immigration to check in with AA.
I may be too late. Why go through customs?

Go to the transfer desks. American is at W1.
