As to my previous questoin, for my GVA-LHR(BA)-LAX(AA) Y awards, I dug a bit more and found these fees that are part of what adds up to about $140 per person for the one way:
CARRIER-IMPOSED FEES $32.00 USD

PASSENGER AND SECURITY CHARGE $24.30 USD
SWITZERLAND

PASSENGER SERVICE CHARGE $48.00 USD
UNITED KINGDOM

Same flights punched into ITA show the UK PSC for $48, the Swiss passenger charge of $32 and an AA YR of $170. So I guess I should be thankful to only have a carrier fee of $32 ;-) What is that carrier imposed fee anyway? Is BA charging that for the GVA-LHR segment? It sure seems that way because if I do ZRH-JFK-LAX that fee is gone.
