As I sit at the cusp of gaining diamond status again, with several international flights still to come this year and one domestic flight, I can't really find motivation to change my status as not much has changed since I was downgraded. I still get some upgrades and miss others. When I fly domestically I fly with my children and wife more often than not, so I don't see advantage here very often in any event. And with no international upgrades nothing changes there, either.

Here I welcome thoughts from others. Have others made a similar calculation? Have others pondered this possibility and elected to take diamond status? If so, why? And thanks in advance for your ideas.
If you roll over, you'll fly 80,000 miles as Platinum. That's 160,000 SkyPesos, plus two Choice Benefits.

Do you expect to fly at the DM level next year (and subsequent years)? If so, what is the benefit of rolling over?
