The people who really know El Al security also know better than to discuss it.

Yes, inconvenience and interrogations and uncomfortable searches happen, but that is the price to pay for overcoming the challanges faced.

By the way - to say an adult in Israel is an Army veteran is almost redundant. If you grew up there, you're an Army veteran. 99% of us served. And if you're my age (late 40's) then you are most likely a veteran of at least one war.
