I have an Uncle who is in the telecommunications business. He used to fly to Israel a few times a year on EL AL. On his last trip he was leaving TLV and was running late. He must have looked suspicious as he was trying to rush through security. A "nice" young female MP at the airport escorted him to a private room where his luggage was examined very carefully and he was given the 20 questions routine. He was finally released and sent through airport security where he was asked the same questions at least twice more by different security agents. He finally was allowed to board the plane and was seated in a row with one other individual. He said it was the only row that had a seat empty. He figured that after his ordeal they wanted to keep an eye on him. My Uncle is very sarcastic and was none to pleased about being questioned like he was. At least he made it home. He hasn't been back since.
