I was on a LHR-LAS last week in CW (in 1A - Old First). Screen didn't work initially - after take off was reset 3 times until we gave up.
Crew were great, hugely apologetic - but I'm guessing there's not alot they can do on these old birds.
There were empty seats, but wanted to stay sitting next to my wife in 1K.
I was proactively offered 7,000 Avios, which I accepted considering there were empty seats and it was my choice to stay in the seats.
Interesting thing was the letter I received a few days letter from CS - wasn't a copy/paste - was an individually written apology describing the specific events. Was surprised at that for such a minor issue.
