NOT sure if AOT or Bangkok Airways (owner) authorizes A320 to fly USM in general, but the limiting factor is actually weight at departure, so technically it would be possible to take off with A320 from USM with weight restriction for its take off weight (means: empty seat rows, etc..).
min required runway length for A320 at MTOW is 2090m, thats just about the complete runway length at USM, thats why they dont authorize A320 at this very moment, i suppose.
to compare: runway length for A319 at MTOW is 1950m.
EDIT:
interesting however is that the runway length for B734 at MTOW is actually 2500m.
do i understand something wrong here? //maybe there is some weight restriction agreement already with USM for the B734 so why not for A320 as well.
