The problem with this is that 1. it is unethical as you aren't entitled to the benefits or stay credit since reserving this way implies you will be staying there and 2. More importantly to us: continuing to do this can eventually cause problems for people who are legitimately letting an additional guest check in early. If people keep doing this to game the system, they will eventually change policy and it will be harder and harder to let additional guests check in and we'll have to go back to the convoluted system of faxing permissions and signature pages that we faced a decade ago.
