I think I may be ok on segments. Assuming I am counting correctly?

Potential routing:

DEN-EWR-DEL (1 transfer EWR).
DEL-BLR-MLE (1 transfer BLR).
MLE-IST-ORD-DEN (2 transfers IST and ORD).
Even better return would be MLE-FRA-DEN (1 transfer, if I can find availability).

I realize availability will be an issues, but I should be able to find something by tracking and looking out this far (I hope).

1. Segment max. You will probably be limited to four segments (what UA's fare rules call "transfers") in each direction. That's going to make this a challenge.

2. Two oceans. Sometimes UA will allow an itinerary to cross two oceans, sometimes they will not. Be prepared to run into that barrier.

Of course you will have to call to book this itinerary, and it will take quite a bit of patience.

There is no way UA's website can handle that itinerary.
