Red Aviator Card / My husband has one and I have one/ My AF is due at end of this month / spent 86.00 total in purchases all year and it was for a US airways plane ticket/ Member for 2 years and paid AF last year/ Both my husband and I were just offered the 15000 mile bonus for spending 500 for next 3 months.

Saw thread and decided to try having AF waived. Called today and right away asked to speak to retention dept, said he had to note why before he could transfer me. Said my AF is coming up and thinking about cancelling card. Tried to transfer me and got disconnected. Called back and asked again to be transferred. He saw notes and transferred me right away.

Spoke to retention specialist and explained my AF is coming up. My husband has same card and just paid his fee, want to keep my card but am having a lot of expenses coming up and could he either waive my fee or give me some sort of statement credit? Asked me if I knew or used benefits on card? Said I just flew on their airline 2 weeks ago and used free bag benefit but I can get that on my husband's card. He said that he would waive the fee. Said I would keep all my benefits and he also had a retention offer of 2x on gas, groceries, and utilities for next 90 days that he could also give me.
