Ever ride NE'X, HEX, or Arlanda Express, etc? Much more expensive when it comes down to $/unit distance.
Just get a Presto card. That's what I do. I ride the UPX religiously now. I absolutely love it.

There are two types of fare saver tickets/booklets. Pink for peak time, and yellow for off peak. I have both booklets. Heck, I have cards and tickets for a kazillion systems world wide!

Perfect for me. Love it.
During mid-day the train is getting many riders. Off peak hours like early morning and late night it is a ghost town, but I still love it. Super convenient, great air conditioning, good wifi quality, tray tables with coat hooks, and power plugs at every seat pairing. Ample luggage space. Always one time - never been delayed. Very reliable. ^
There are many "naysayers" but I put those "naysayers" in the company of not having tried other airport-downtown trains worldwide. (not including regular commuter subways and trains because that's not what UPX is about)
Sure beats the TTCrap. Unreliable subway to a PITA bus.
